Pen
Through Anything - John Cornelius
Effect:
The magician borrows a banknote from the audience,
taps it with a pen and then pushes the pen right
through the note. The sound of paper tearing can
be clearly heard but the banknote is magically
unharmed.
The pen can penetrate
playing cards, magazines or even coins.
Product
description:
You receive two pens – a gimmicked one and
a standard one that looks identical. Included
are full instructions and suggestions for other
routines.
Notes:
This trick is best performed slightly further
away from the audience than is usual for close-up.
It doesn’t require very much practice but
you will need to learn to swap the pens without
being spotted.

Sponge
Balls

Usually based on there being more sponges in the
spectator’s hand than she imagines, but
there are loads of things you can do with sponge
balls (and other shapes).
Product
description:
4 nice, soft sponge balls of an easy size to manipulate.
Notes:
It’s more difficult than you might expect
to do a sponge-ball routine convincingly. Do make
sure you practise sufficiently before performing
for anyone else.
